Nethra'25 A Night of Music & Hope

Greetings from Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation!
Radhatri Nethralaya, a Chennai-based tertiary eye hospital, launched it’s Public Charitable Trust, Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation (GVRF), on the occasion of its first anniversary on September 13, 2009. The trust was started with the ardent hope of eliminating needless blindness, with several projects under the aegis of GVRF, to achieve this end.
Project Kannoli:
General Eye camps wherein patients with cataract are transported from villages and slums, operated, housed overnight at Radhatri Nethralaya and dropped back the next day to their homes. A total of 10,000 patients have under gone free cataract surgery till date.
Project Save Sight Give Light:
Free Vision Screening camps for school children including Corporation Schools, Anganwadis and free glasses distributed to the needy students.
Project RADAR:
Speciality Diabetic eye disease camps and awareness talks to reduce the risk of blindness due to Diabetic Retinopathy
Project Balanethra:
Free Treatment for preterm babies of underprivileged parents with the blinding disorder called Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
We propose to hold a fund raiser Nethra’25: with the melodious Voices of Smt. Ranjini and Smt. Gayathri to garner support to our trust.
Vidushis Ranjani and Gayatri, acclaimed Carnatic musicians celebrated for their soulful artistry and profound musical expression, present A Night of Music & Hope — a concert dedicated to the noble cause of preventing childhood blindness.
Joining them are Sri L. Ramakrishnan on the violin, Sri N. C. Bharadwaj on the mridangam, and Sri Anirudh Athreya on the kanjira — an ensemble of exceptional artists who together promise an evening of rich melody, rhythm, and emotion.
Organized as part of the Nethra’25 initiative by Radhatri Nethralaya, this concert is not just a celebration of music but also a heartfelt appeal to care for tender vision — to ensure that every child sees a brighter tomorrow.
